Reality Check: Love Island USA Season 8, Episode 24 — The Lies Have an Expiration Date

America got what we wanted.

Carl is officially back in the Villa.

Unfortunately, after getting dumped and then immediately thrown back into the middle of all this chaos, he's understandably taking things slow. I don't blame him one bit.

Of course, messy KC somehow found the entire situation amusing. In his mind, Carl's return takes the pressure off him because now Aniya has someone else to focus on.

Sir...

I don't think that's how accountability works.

Speaking of uncomfortable reunions...

Sincere looked about as happy to see Amora as someone getting called into the principal's office.

But why?

He's been completely honest with Melanie this whole time...

Right?

Exactly.

The person who witnessed everything at Casa Amor is now standing ten feet away. Suddenly, selective memory isn't going to work quite as well.

The one thing that has me nervous is Carl.

Please don't let this man come back just to pursue someone else.

America voted you back because we wanted to see what could happen with Aniya.

Don't make us regret our decision.

Then Zach decided to test all of our memories.

He actually tried telling Kayda he could have brought someone back from Casa Amor but chose not to.

Sir...

Who exactly were you bringing back?

Your Casa connection was removed from the show.

That's not choosing loyalty.

That's production making the decision for you.

Thankfully, Movie Night has an excellent memory.

Finally, we got something sweet.

Bryce and Trinity went on their first official date, and Bryce asked her to be his girlfriend.

After everything these two went through during Casa Amor, it was a really nice moment.

My cynical little heart actually enjoyed this one.

Then we have Corbin and Parmida talking about closing things off already.

Already?

I don't know if Parmida fully understands what she's signing up for, but...good luck, I guess.

Over on another couch, Gal tried to twist Jen's comments into something they really weren't.

Honestly, it felt like he was looking for an excuse to end things.

What I don't understand is why.

Nothing was stopping him from continuing to explore things with Kenzie while still being respectful to Jen. Instead, he may have talked himself right out of having any real connection at all.

That's a risky strategy when you're on Love Island.

KC and Aniya finally sat down to have the conversation everyone had been waiting for.

Calling it an apology feels generous.

It sounded less like taking responsibility and more like explaining why everyone else misunderstood him.

Not exactly the same thing.

I still think there's a good chance he'll try circling back once he realizes just how unpopular his behavior has become with viewers.

And then...

There's Kenzie.

Would it really be a Kenzie episode if she didn't tell another man he was exactly her type before immediately making out with him?

At least this time she skipped the splits.

Small victories.

My Prediction

Everything we've watched over the last several episodes has been building toward one thing.

Movie Night.

Receipts don't care about your rewritten version of events.

Selective memory doesn't survive a highlight reel.

And some of these Islanders are about to learn that what happened in Casa Amor definitely did not stay in Casa Amor.

I've got my popcorn ready.
