Missing Sister

The first few pages almost lost me, the writing style felt a bit odd at first. But once the story got going, it completely pulled me in.

The story follows Pen as she struggles to rebuild her life after the death of her twin sister. Now a cop, she’s sent to investigate a murder only to discover the victim is one of the men responsible for helping destroy her sister’s life. And he isn’t the first one to turn up dead.

Watching Pen walk the tightrope between investigator and potential suspect adds great tension, while her personal journey toward finding her voice and some sense of happiness gives the story real emotional weight. And the curveballs? There were definitely a couple I didn’t see coming and I love when that happens!

Now I’m really curious to see if the author continues the story especially with Pen heading off to help search for Thalia’s missing sister.
