Love Island USA Season 8, Episode 30 - One Last Laugh Before the Final Stretch

We pick up immediately after Corbin and Parmida leave the Villa.

As expected, everyone is in their feelings.

Some Islanders are wondering why America put them in the bottom.

Others seem genuinely shocked they weren't standing there themselves.

Then production decided everyone needed a break from the drama.

The girls received a text telling them they had to secretly complete a series of challenges without the boys figuring out what was happening.

Honestly?

This ended up being one of the funniest segments we've seen all season.

First up was Trinity, whose mission was to get every guy to say "French fry."

Shockingly easy.

Then Tierra had to convince someone other than her partner to kiss her on the cheek.

She casually suggested a photo with the Casa boys in the photo booth and somehow managed to collect cheek kisses from both guys without them thinking twice.

Mission accomplished.

At this point I was wondering if the boys were ever going to catch on.

Spoiler alert...

Not really.

Next came Melanie.

Her challenge was to ask one of the guys to bring her something, then keep sending him back because it wasn't the right one.

That poor man returned with three different juices trying to make her happy.

Bless his heart.

Aniya's challenge might have been my favorite.

She had to convince someone to help her find something that didn't actually exist.

Naturally...

She picked KC.

After everything they've been through, she told him he owed her.

Next thing you know, this man is wandering around the Villa searching for imaginary glasses.

I don't know why that amused me as much as it did, but I was laughing.

Kenzie had to convince two guys to rub her back.

Somehow she recruited both Dylan and Carl by claiming she had a crick in her neck.

The girls were making this look way too easy.

Then it was Kayda's turn.

She needed one of the boys to do her makeup, and for reasons I'll never fully understand, she chose Bryce.

Not only did he help...

He ended up putting blush on himself too.

The final mission was getting every guy into the pool at the same time.

The boys resisted...

Right up until the girls started handing out kisses.

Funny how quickly those objections disappeared.

Once the game ended, though, the mood shifted back to reality.

Conversations about life outside the Villa started taking center stage.

Sincere told Melanie how much she means to him and talked about the work he plans to do once they leave so she can feel emotionally safe with him.

Zach also had a serious conversation with Kayda, telling her he wants to date exclusively once they're back in the real world.

Whether viewers believe him...

Well, that's another story.

Not every couple was having those warm, fuzzy conversations.

Dylan is still struggling to trust Kenzie after everything that came out during Movie Night.

Kenzie tried reassuring him by saying she wanted him to meet her family.

The problem?

Dylan remembered she'd said something very similar to Caleb earlier in the season.

Honestly...

That's a fair point.

Trust isn't rebuilt because someone repeats the same promise.

It's rebuilt when actions finally match the words.

My Prediction

We're getting very close to the finale now.

That means every conversation matters.

Every vote matters.

Every couple is about to be judged not just by each other...

But by America.

I already have my final four in mind.

Now we'll see if the rest of the country agrees.
