Charlie Donlea has become one of those authors where I don't even read the synopsis anymore. If he writes it, I'm probably going to read it. Once again, he didn't disappoint.

That being said...I have to ask if whoever wrote the book description actually read the book.

It says Ollie and Andy are working together to solve the mystery. They're not. In fact, he doesn't even know she exists for a good portion of the story. It also makes it sound like she's ignoring the people trying to protect her, which really isn't what's happening either. It's one of the more misleading descriptions I've come across in a while.

Thankfully, the actual book is much better than the synopsis.

As usual, Donlea wastes no time pulling you into the story. Within the first chapter I was hooked, trying to figure out what was really going on and who, if anyone, could actually be trusted. Every time I thought I had things figured out, another piece of the puzzle showed up and sent me in a different direction. A couple of the twists genuinely surprised me, which is becoming harder and harder to do after reading as many thrillers as I have.

If you're already a Charlie Donlea fan, this is another one I'd recommend. If you're new to his books, just ignore the back-cover description and dive in. Trust me, the story is much better than the person who summarized it gave it credit for.
