Two Kinds of Stranger

*I received an advance reader copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

This was an interesting read, though not a thriller in the traditional sense. If you’re expecting fast-paced, edge-of-your-seat tension, this isn’t quite that. Instead, it leans more into the realities of a social media-driven world, where influencers share so much of their lives that it can open the door for people to observe and potentially exploit them.

The story follows more than one criminal case, and a significant portion of the book is focused on courtroom proceedings. If you enjoy legal details and in-depth courtroom scenes, you’ll likely appreciate this aspect. For me personally, it was a bit more than I needed, as I tend to prefer more action-driven storytelling.

I also got the sense that I might have connected more with the dynamics of the law office and characters if I had read the earlier books in the series. That said, it still held my interest, and I’d consider going back to explore the previous installments.
