Heart of Glass

Twenty-five years after their best friend was murdered by the so-called Carnival Killer, two women are forced to revisit the past when he recants his confession and a new body appears. As buried secrets resurface, it becomes clear the truth may have never been what it seemed.

Review: This was so good; and I’m honestly grateful for it because I’ve been in a bit of a slump with books not living up to the hype. But this one? It delivered. Then again, I can’t think of a Jennifer Hillier book I haven’t enjoyed.

The twists are layered in so effortlessly, constantly shifting what you think you know. Just when you feel confident about where the story is going, it pulls the rug out from under you. I had things to do and absolutely ignored them, convincing myself “just one more chapter”… over and over again.

Such a good read.
