2026 Book Releases
My reviews of new and upcoming books releasing in 2026, including advance reader copies and some of the year's most anticipated titles.
January 2026
This one had me questioning everything as the story unfolded. The twists and character dynamics made it hard to tell who could actually be trusted.
February 2026
This one was different. I’m not going to say I couldn’t put it down, but it definitely kept my interest, and I finished it in two days.
March 2026
This was an interesting read, though not a thriller in the traditional sense. If you’re expecting fast-paced, edge-of-your-seat tension, this isn’t quite that. Instead, it leans more into the realities of a social media-driven world, where influencers share so much of their lives that it can open the door for people to observe and potentially exploit them.
Overall, I did enjoy the story. It has a good mystery at its core with a cute romance woven into it, which made for an engaging combination. The premise itself works well and the characters were interesting enough to keep me invested in seeing how everything would unfold.
This story kept me engaged with its mix of suspense and emotional depth. As more was revealed, I found myself wanting to know how everything would connect in the end.
April 2026
This is a prequel to The Perfect Child, so I’m not entirely sure what I expected considering I didn’t love that one. At this point, I’m realizing that Lucinda Berry and I have a bit of a love-hate relationship. I almost always struggle to get into her books at first, but if I push through, they eventually pull me in and I need to see how everything plays out.
For me, this one had a strong start but didn’t fully deliver. It pulls you in immediately with the opening, but the pacing slows down quite a bit after that.
May 2026
The Anniversary has a really interesting format. The story moves forward one year at a time, always on the same date, starting with the May 1st incident that changes everything for Quinn and Jules when they are just 17. From there, each chapter jumps to May 1st of the following years as they try to rebuild their lives and grow into adulthood.
A brutal summer in a storm-damaged town turns deadly when a woman is found murdered in her home. As suspects mount and old wounds reopen, Detective Ben Packard must navigate buried secrets and the realities of being different in a town that resists change.
Book Summary: After returning to his hometown with his son, Clay is pulled back into old family tensions when his uncle suddenly disappears. As three generations search for answers, long-buried secrets surface—and the danger may be closer than anyone expects.
June 2026
This had such a good premise. Six influencers trapped on a luxury yacht during a hurricane? With secrets, betrayal, paranoia, and murder? It absolutely sounds like the kind of thriller that should have been impossible to put down.
A suspenseful story filled with secrets, betrayal, and complicated family dynamics. Just when I thought I had it figured out, something shifted.
August 2026
This was an emotional and suspenseful read that pulled me in more as the story developed. The deeper layers of the characters made it even more compelling.
September 2026
Apparently, I have a thing for books where you put a bunch of people in one location, take away their ability to escape, and start dropping bodies. 😂 This one gave me exactly what I wanted.
